Role Description This is a full-time on-site Autocad Drafter role based in Chennai. The Autocad Drafter will prepare detailed technical drawings and layouts for water and wastewater treatment plants, including piping, structural, and equipment arrangements, in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing shop and construction drawings, updating and revising drawings based on engineering inputs, and coordinating with project engineers and designers to resolve design queries. The role involves interpreting architectural and engineering sketches, maintaining organized drawing records, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across all drawings and documentation. The Autocad Drafter will also support the preparation of as-built drawings and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting templates and standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and general Drawing for engineering applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in preparing Shop Drawings and detailed construction documentation.
- Candidates should possess experience with Architectural Drawings and coordination with architectural layouts.
- Candidates should possess understanding of Architecture principles relevant to plant and facility design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of other CAD tools (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks) is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline; drafting certification is a plus.
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or water/wastewater treatment projects is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and good communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
