We work with clients across industrial, commercial, and other built environments, providing practical and standards-compliant fire and safety solutions.
Role: AutoCAD Draftsman / CAD Draftsman
We are looking for an AutoCAD Draftsman to support our ongoing Fire & Safety and Engineering Consultancy work in Pune.
The role will primarily involve preparing and modifying 2D AutoCAD drawings for fire-fighting and fire-safety applications, including hydrant layouts, fire protection layouts, government and licensing drawings, and other technical/engineering drawings.
The candidate should be comfortable working with technical inputs, making drawing revisions, preparing dimensions and layouts, and producing clear, properly formatted drawings for submission and project use.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify 2D AutoCAD drawings
- Prepare fire-fighting layouts, including hydrant points and related layouts
- Prepare drawings for government and licensing submissions
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and plans
- Make revisions based on technical/site requirements
- Prepare dimensions, layouts and title blocks
- Convert PDF drawings to CAD and CAD drawings to PDF
- Plot and export drawings with appropriate scale and lineweights
- Maintain organized drawing files and revisions
- Coordinate with engineers and technical team members as required
Requirements
- Good proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in AutoCAD
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Knowledge of dimensioning, layouts, plotting and PDF/CAD conversion
- Basic proficiency in MS Office
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to understand technical instructions and work independently
Experience
- 0–2 years of practical drafting experience preferred
- Freshers with strong practical AutoCAD skills may also apply
- Prior fire-fighting/fire-safety experience is not mandatory; necessary technical guidance will be provided
