Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Autocad Drafter role based in Chennai. The Autocad Drafter will prepare detailed technical drawings for fire alarm, fire suppression, and security system layouts using CAD software, following engineering inputs and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include developing and updating shop drawings, coordinating with project engineers, and ensuring that all drawings align with client specifications and local codes. The role involves preparing and revising architectural and system drawings, maintaining organized drawing documentation, and supporting project teams during design reviews and site coordination. The Autocad Drafter will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant drawing deliverables for ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Ability to create and interpret Technical Drawing and Drawing documentation for fire and security system projects.
- Experience preparing and revising Shop Drawings for installation, fabrication, and on-site coordination.
- Skill in developing and modifying Architectural Drawings related to building layouts, system routing, and equipment placement.
- Understanding of Architecture principles to align system designs with structural and space constraints.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Diploma or degree in engineering, drafting, architecture, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of fire safety and security system standards, codes, and best practices is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple drawing tasks, and collaborate effectively with project teams.
