Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AutoCAD Designer to join our team. This role involves translating client specifications and internal requirements into precise technical drawings, supporting the production cycle, and maintaining project-related documentation and costing information.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D drawings using AutoCAD
- Prepare DXF files for laser cutting
- Perform nesting to optimize material utilization
- Develop flat patterns for sheet metal components
- Prepare accurate bending drawings with correct tolerances
- Coordinate with laser cutting and CNC bending teams
- Handle reverse engineering from physical samples
- Evaluate feasibility and prepare costing for new jobs
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D)
- Practical understanding of sheet metal fabrication
- Knowledge of laser cutting and CNC bending processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in nesting and material optimization preferred
- Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech / Diploma preferred)
- 1–3 years experience in sheet metal / fabrication industry
- Freshers with strong practical exposure may also apply
