We design and execute modern precision farming projects, including hydroponic farms, polyhouses, greenhouses, irrigation systems, fertigation systems, climate-control infrastructure, and other soilless cultivation solutions.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer who can convert project concepts, technical inputs, site measurements, and engineering requirements into accurate, execution-ready drawings.
Role Overview
The AutoCAD Designer will be responsible for preparing architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, irrigation, and project layout drawings for hydroponic and protected cultivation projects.
The candidate must be comfortable working with engineers, project managers, vendors, and site execution teams. The role requires strong drafting skills, technical understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to produce accurate drawings within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for hydroponic farms, polyhouses, greenhouses, shade-net houses, nurseries, and protected cultivation projects.
* Develop site layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, foundation drawings, structural layouts, and installation drawings.
* Prepare drawings for hydroponic growing systems, including NFT systems, Dutch bucket systems, grow bag systems, vertical farming systems, and nursery systems.
* Create irrigation, fertigation, plumbing, drainage, electrical, and utility layouts based on technical inputs.
* Prepare greenhouse and polyhouse structural drawings, including column layouts, truss layouts, foundation details, and equipment positioning.
* Convert hand sketches, site measurements, concepts, and engineering inputs into accurate technical drawings.
* Prepare Bills of Quantities and material take-offs from approved drawings, where required.
* Revise drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, engineering changes, and project requirements.
* Maintain proper drawing standards, layers, dimensions, annotations, title blocks, revision records, and document control.
* Coordinate with the design, procurement, engineering, sales, and project execution teams.
* Support site teams by providing clarifications, revised drawings, and installation details.
* Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, dimensional consistency, and alignment with project specifications.
* Maintain an organised digital library of drawings, templates, blocks, specifications, and project documents.
* Participate in site visits for measurement, verification, and coordination when required.
* Ensure that all drawings are completed within agreed project timelines.
Required Qualifications
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Draftsmanship, or a anyone with a knowledge in AutoCAD can APPLY
* Certification or professional training in AutoCAD will be preferred.
* Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD drafting or technical design.
* Experience in greenhouse, polyhouse, agriculture infrastructure, irrigation, plumbing, civil, structural, MEP, fabrication, or industrial projects will be an advantage.
Technical Skills
* Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
* Ability to prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, sections, elevations, and fabrication drawings.
* Good understanding of dimensions, scales, tolerances, construction details, and drawing standards.
* Basic knowledge of civil, structural, plumbing, irrigation, and mechanical systems.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, engineering, and vendor drawings.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, SolidWorks, 3D AutoCAD, or other design software will be an advantage.
* Experience in preparing BOQs and quantity take-offs will be preferred.
