Role Description This is a full-time, on-site AutoCAD Designer role based in Pune City. The AutoCAD Designer will prepare and revise 2D and 3D drawings for boilers, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, piping layouts, structural supports, and associated equipment as per project requirements and applicable codes. Responsibilities include developing detailed fabrication drawings, construction drawings, and isometric drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy and clarity for manufacturing and site execution. The role involves coordinating with design engineers and project teams to interpret design inputs, incorporate design changes, and optimize layouts for safety, maintainability, and space utilization. The AutoCAD Designer will also assist in creating material take-off lists, maintaining drawing documentation, and supporting site teams with as-built updates and technical clarifications.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mechanical fabrication Drawings & its BOM, with strong skills in technical Drawing for industrial and structural projects.
- Ability to perform design activities - equipment layout optimization in 2D and 3D environments.
- Strong Communication skills to collaborate with engineers, project managers, vendors, and site teams.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD (preferably latest versions); exposure to Plant 3D, PDMS, SP3D, or CADWorx is an advantage.
- Understanding of boiler pressure parts, piping systems, or structural steel detailing; familiarity with IBR/ASME or related industry codes is a plus.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent drafting/design qualification.
- Attention to detail, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and capacity to work accurately under schedule constraints.
