Role Description The AutoCAD Designer at Balaji Metal will work full time on-site in Rajkot, creating and modifying detailed 2D and 3D drawings for cast iron décor and architectural products such as railings, balusters, gates, and custom components. The role involves translating client concepts and architectural requirements into precise fabrication-ready drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy, material specifications, and manufacturability. The designer will collaborate closely with production, quality, and sales teams to refine designs, address technical issues, and support customized solutions based on client drawings. Daily tasks include updating design documentation, maintaining drawing standards, preparing construction and shop drawings, and coordinating revisions to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings to develop accurate, fabrication-ready plans for cast iron products.
- Candidates should possess solid Drawing and Space Planning skills to translate design concepts into practical, well-structured layouts and components.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills to collaborate with clients, production teams, and other stakeholders on design requirements and revisions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) or similar CAD software, with experience in metal, fabrication, or architectural detailing, is highly beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field is preferred, along with prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail, ability to interpret technical drawings and standards, and strong problem-solving skills are important for success in this role.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, material properties (especially cast iron), and basic quality and safety practices is an added advantage.
