Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara for an Australian Accountant (Bookkeeping | Tax | SMSF | Finalisation). The role involves end-to-end bookkeeping for Australian clients, including data entry, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance. The accountant will prepare and review individual and business tax returns, support SMSF accounting and compliance, and assist with workpaper preparation and finalisation of accounts. Daily responsibilities include preparing financial statements, ensuring adherence to Australian accounting and tax standards, and working within various cloud and desktop accounting platforms. The role also requires regular coordination with Australian accounting firms, maintaining detailed documentation, meeting deadlines, and contributing to process improvement and quality control within the team.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting foundation with skills in Accounting and Financial Statements preparation, including understanding of Australian accounting standards.
- Tax-focused skills such as Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and Tax, with the ability to interpret Australian tax legislation and apply it to client work.
- Experience in bookkeeping and finalisation for Australian entities, including SMEs and SMSFs, using major accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other office tools, with the capacity to learn new accounting and tax software as required.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate with remote Australian teams and follow established workflows.
- Prior experience working with Australian or international accounting firms is preferred, along with a commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality.

- Liaising with Australian clients where required
