Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role, based in Chennai, for an Australia Counsellor. The role involves guiding students in selecting suitable academic courses and universities in Australia, assisting with application processes, and offering support with admissions and scholarship opportunities. The Counsellor will provide tailored guidance, collaborate with students and families, and ensure a seamless journey from career counseling to pre-departure preparation. Building and maintaining relationships with partner universities will also be a key responsibility.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Australian education systems, university applications, course options, and scholarship resources
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills to effectively engage with students and families
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in career counseling and familiarity with student visa processes for Australia
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
- Previous experience in overseas education consulting or student counseling is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is preferred
