Augustana College is a private, selective, residential liberal arts and sciences college with an enrollment of approximately 2,500 students. The Position:
The Augustana College Department of Theatre & Film seeks a dedicated and collaborative theatre artist to teach musical theatre courses and serve as academic advisor to musical theatre majors. The position is a one-year visiting professor with the possibility for annual renewal.

Responsibilities Include:
- Teach a 24-credit course load per academic year. This will be approximately three courses per semester.
- Courses include Musical Theatre History, Voice & Movement for the Actor, Musical Theatre Dance, Acting I, and Introduction to Theatre.
- If qualified, there is a possibility of directing a mainstage musical production in the spring as part of the teaching load.

- MFA or Ph.D. required; specialization in Musical Theatre and performance, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated dedication to teaching BA students from a variety of backgrounds with differing levels of experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Balanced understanding of the Theatre as a business and creative art form.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully as a team member, foster an inclusive learning environment, and proactively promote student success within an academic theatre program.
- Experience in musical theatre as an actor and/or director preferred.

Additional Information:
The budgeted compensation for this position ranges from $43,000 - 46,000 per year based upon minimum and preferred qualifications, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Actual placement within the range will depend upon experience, education, research, rank, and other relevant factors.
