Role Description The Audit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area, responsible for overseeing internal and external audit activities across branches and departments. The role includes planning and executing financial and operational audits, reviewing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and cooperative society guidelines. The Audit Manager will analyze financial records, assess risk areas, verify adherence to policies, and prepare detailed audit reports with clear recommendations for improvement. Day-to-day tasks involve coordinating with branch and head office teams, monitoring implementation of audit findings, and supporting management in strengthening governance and risk management frameworks. The role also includes mentoring audit staff, standardizing audit procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement in financial transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant financial and regulatory principles.
- Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Hands-on experience conducting Financial Audits, including planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for identifying control gaps, assessing risks, and proposing practical corrective actions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or CIA are an advantage.
- Experience in banking, cooperative societies, or NBFCs, with familiarity in branch operations and regulatory compliance.
- Strong attention to detail, ethical judgment, and the ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages such as Marathi, Hindi, or Kannada is beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and audit/financial software, with the ability to prepare clear audit documentation and presentations.
- Willingness to travel to branches as required for on-site audits and reviews.
