Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Audit Intern role based in Bengaluru. The Audit Intern will assist the internal audit team in reviewing financial records, operational processes, and branch-level activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting audit planning, collecting and analyzing financial data, verifying supporting documents, and preparing working papers and basic audit reports. The intern will help identify discrepancies, potential risks, and control gaps, and assist in recommending corrective actions under the guidance of senior auditors. The role may also involve coordinating with branch and department teams to gather information, documenting findings, and maintaining organized records of audit activities.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw logical conclusions.
- Foundational knowledge of finance and comfort working with financial concepts and terminology.
- Understanding of financial statements and ability to review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Interest in auditing, with basic familiarity with audit procedures, internal controls, and compliance principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation and professional interaction with team members.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other basic office productivity tools for data analysis and reporting.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a structured, process-oriented environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
