Role Description The Audit Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The intern will assist in conducting statutory, internal, concurrent, and GST audits under the supervision of senior team members. Day-to-day tasks include supporting audit planning, performing detailed testing and verification of financial records, and helping prepare working papers and documentation. The role also involves assisting in the analysis of financial statements, verifying compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and contributing to audit reports and client deliverables. The intern will collaborate with partners and staff, gaining practical exposure to professional standards and best practices in auditing and finance.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and assess financial information.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and clients, and for preparing clear documentation.
- Foundational knowledge of finance and understanding of financial statements.
- Interest in and basic understanding of auditing concepts, standards, and procedures.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting or audit software is advantageous.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to follow professional ethics and confidentiality requirements.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback constructively, and work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
