Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Audit Executive to support audit engagements and ensure high-quality execution in line with regulatory standards. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on audit experience who are looking to take on increased responsibility, including guiding junior team members while actively contributing to audit assignments.
Candidates must have hands-on experience in statutory audits and income tax (ITR) audits, with a strong understanding of audit procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and support statutory and internal audit assignments for assigned clients
- Handle income tax (ITR) audits and related documentation
- Prepare and review audit working papers, schedules, confirmations, and reconciliations
- Ensure audit documentation complies with KSA audit standards and IFRS guidelines
- Identify audit observations, risks, and discrepancies, and report findings to senior stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients to obtain required data and documentation
- Assist in planning and execution of audit procedures
- Guide and support junior team members in audit processes
- Ensure timely completion of audit assignments within defined timelines
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in audit documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in audit (statutory/internal)
- Hands-on experience in statutory audits and ITR audits is mandatory
- Experience in audit firms / CA firms / consulting firms preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Audit procedures and documentation
- Financial statements and accounting standards
- Hands-on experience in:
- Audit working papers preparation
- Reconciliations and confirmations
- Familiarity with IFRS and/or KSA regulations is an advantage
- Candidates with CA Inter / CMA Inter / Articleship experience are preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Good communication and team management skills
