Position: Bengali Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50/hour

Commitment: 10–20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Transcribe and optimize audio and video content in Bengali. Follow detailed constraints and instructions for high-quality outputs.
  • Define and document evaluation standards in Bengali and English. Ensure consistency across reviewers and model evaluations.
  • Conduct model testing and grading. Evaluate responses for accuracy, completeness, fluency, and clarity.
  • Support benchmarking and quality assurance. Collaborate with project leads to resolve ambiguities and improve task design.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Strong writing, editing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Native or near-native fluency in Bengali (spoken and written) and professional fluency in English.
  • Ability to accurately transcribe and analyze Bengali audio content across general consumer contexts.
  • Available to commit 10–20 hours per week.

Preferred

  • College students or recent graduates.
  • Background in linguistics, humanities, social sciences, journalism, or technical disciplines.
  • Prior experience with transcription, annotation, localization, evaluation, or research workflows in Bengali.
  • Familiarity with dialectal variations, regional speech patterns, and contemporary usage in Bengali.
  • Interest in AI, language models, or applied research environments.
