Role Summary
Design and deliver advanced audio systems and algorithms—spanning audio feature extraction, echo cancellation, noise suppression, and speech enhancement—using a combination of signal processing and machine learning for deployment on Qualcomm platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end audio solutions including audio features, AEC, noise suppression, and speech enhancement algorithms
- Create, implement, and commercialize DSP- and ML-based audio algorithms
- Optimize fixed-point and floating-point implementations for embedded platforms
- Build, evaluate, quantize, and deploy efficient audio ML models across CPU, GPU, and NPU
- Validate audio subsystem performance for robustness, power, and stability
- Conduct acoustic measurements, demos, and system-level testing
- Collaborate with R&D, systems, and customer teams to support integration and commercialization
Required Skills
- Strong foundation in audio signal processing and audio feature extraction
- Hands-on experience with Echo Cancellation, Noise Suppression, and Speech Enhancement
- Proficiency in Embedded C/C++, MATLAB, and Python
- Experience with embedded DSP platforms, real-time systems, and software optimization
- Knowledge of audio ML architectures (CNNs, RNNs, U-Nets, Transformers)
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Engineering or related field with relevant experience
- Familiarity with Qualcomm audio frameworks, SDKs, and tools is a plus
