Role Description
Cameo Media Labs is hiring Audio Engineers for a Central Government of India project at it's Studio in Pimpri, Pune.
Openings for different levels of experience- 3 Years, 5 Years and 7 Years. An opportunity to participate in the restoration of historically significant titles at our great Nation's Archive - the National Film Archives of India, Pune.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for film sound, a liking for classics and excellent listening skills- along with tech requirements listed below.
Responsibilities:
- Restore (Remove noise, hiss, hum, and other audio anomalies) the film audio taken from various celluloid sources. Avoid any artifacts in doing so.
- Collaborate with fellow senior engineers to help ensure audio quality and consistency. Collaborate and train junior engineers.
- Quality Control and peer reviews.
- Work and gain highest level expertise in Audio restoration software and techniques on *iZotope RX advanced*.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in audio engineering or a related field
- 3+, 5+ or 7+ years of experience in audio engineering. Experience in restoration or film sound and dialogue editing is a huge plus. Back your exp. up with proof of work ( ideally samples of your released work along with IMDB profile)
- Excellent attention to detail, patience and ability to listen critically to audio content.
- Strong work ethic, prompt communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Hiring, skill level and training will be based on assessment at the Studio.
- Working knowledge of Protools or a industry standard audio editing/mixing software.
Place, Time of Work, Pay Scale:
- Nature of Engagement- Full time, 6 days a week (Saturdays are 5 hours working).
- Location - Our newly built 3500 sq foot studio at Sunshine Plaza, Pimpri, Ambedkar Chowk (near Vishal Cinema).
