Role Overview
We are looking for skilled and detail-oriented Audio Description Script Writers to create high-quality accessibility scripts for OTT platforms. This role involves translating visual elements of video content into concise, engaging, and accurate English narration for visually impaired audiences.
The ideal candidate should be fluent in Hindi (for content understanding) and possess strong English writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Watch and analyze Hindi video content (web series, shows, films)
* Write clear, concise audio description (AD) scripts in English
* Accurately describe visual elements such as actions, expressions, scene transitions, and settings
* Ensure descriptions fit naturally within dialogue gaps without overlap
* Maintain consistency in tone, clarity, and style across episodes
* Collaborate with audio engineers and QC teams to refine scripts
* Follow OTT accessibility standards and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Strong command of written English
* Working proficiency in Hindi (mandatory)
* Background in content writing, journalism, screenwriting, or media
* Ability to write concise, visual, non-interpretive descriptions
* Strong attention to detail and timing
* Familiarity with OTT content formats is a plus
Preferred Experience
* Experience in subtitles, dubbing, scripting, or media content
* Exposure to accessibility content (Audio Description / Closed Captions)
* Understanding of storytelling and visual language
