We’re just built to be better. We are a great company. Atlas is looking for a Full Stack Web Developer (LS Software Engineer 1) to take a key role on our team. This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate must have knowledge in all stages of the software development lifecycle and must be proficient in both back-end and front-end web application development. This position is predominantly remote, but you will periodically need to attend meetings or work from the client’s location in Sacramento, CA. You will be working alongside other software engineers and developers on technology infrastructure for several web-based software applications. Our new team member will be a talented professional who pays attention to detail, has a passion to learn and share knowledge and values code readability as well as testability. Good communication skills are a must. Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Write code for both front-end and back-end that is reusable, maintainable, and extensible.Develop intuitive, user-friendly, visually appealing front-end interfaces.Implement server-side logic to integrate with front-end clients.Optimize applications for security, performance, and operation on various devices.Collaborate with other team members, end users and other stakeholders.Design and implement data storage solutions while ensuring data integrity and security.Maintain software applications and fix bugs. Requirements Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Science degree1 - 2 years of professional experience Technical Requirements Proficient understanding and experience with building web applications using PHP frameworks such as Yii and LaravelExtensive knowledge and experience with web markup languages including HTML5 and CSS3Advanced understanding and experience with front-end frameworks such as React, jQuery and BootstrapHigh proficiency in relational database conceptsExperience with JavaScript plotting libraries such as Google Charts and jqPlotExperience with JiraUnderstanding of code versioning tools such as git and SubversionUnderstanding of web application security principlesFamiliarity with the Scrum processAbility to create and maintain software documentationAble to read, analyze, and interpret common technical data and industry documentsAble to effectively present information to executive management, staff, and other outside agenciesAbility to work in a rapid and iterative development environmentIncredibly detail orientedResults driven and able to complete tasks on time with little supervisionAble to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Other Miscellaneous Qualities Experience with AASHTOWareExperience with Python programmingExperience with programming in C, C++ or C#.Experience in business development and pursuing software/IT contractsExperience with ESRI ArcGIS development -- specifically API integration Compensation $77,812 - $84,032 annual salary The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law.
