Senior Proposal Engineer - EngineeredSolutions (Pune, Other/Not Applicable, India)

Your role

• You are the first point of contact for Customer Centers/ Customers for RFQ/New project requests.
• Analyse requirements of customer and application and translate them into a well thought and designed OFA StandardPlus proposal including costings.
• Be able to evaluate customer/end user RFQ requirements and specifications independently and translate the customer needs to our product portfolio.
• You estimate together with the team the feasibility of a project in all its facts and internally agree with relevant departments.
• To provide technically correct & commercially valid quotations by adhering to company processes.
• Understand Compressed Air system applications and be able to provide Pre-Calculation, Selection, and sizing of equipment correctly.
• To work along with Sales /Customer Centre team for selection of AC make equipment and propose system design for Compressed Air system applications.
• Able to provide exact delivery Leadtime estimate to customer of required machine by coordinating with factory and supplier.
• Prepare technical sheet which should be self-explanatory of project.
• Lead, organize and coordinate the assigned proposal work during different proposal phases.
• Manage multiple proposal requests from different Customers and Sales.
• Be capable to balance and manage cost pressure from customer request and internal execution for tough competition cases and complex projects.
• To prepare bought out item RFQs and evaluate sub-vendor offers and recommend the appropriate vendors.
• Maintain detailed overview of current quotations and closely monitor status, maintain project proposal files and applicable records in common server & Project Management System software.

To succeed, you will need

Experience & Knowledge requirements

• University degree in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical / Electrical or Instrumentation)
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in Proposal engineering, equipment selection
• Able to read & understand P&ID, GA, Layouts, Installation, System architect etc 
• Sound Knowledge of Electrical Equipment drawings, Instrumentation & Control drawings/documents.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS office.
• Knowledge of pressure vessels and heat exchangers

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Pune office.
