The Senior Network Specialist – APAC is the regional authority for enterprise network design, standards, and escalations. The role ensures a secure, stable, and scalable network by driving design governance, delivery consistency, vendor oversight, and root cause resolution. It also acts as the key bridge between global architecture, regional teams, IT hubs, and service providers.
Key Responsibilities -
1. Regional Governance & Collaboration
- Represent APAC in global network architecture discussions
- Align regional needs with global standards and roadmaps
- Manage and justify regional deviations where required
2. Escalation Ownership
- Lead resolution of critical and recurring network incidents
- Act as final technical escalation beyond internal teams and vendors
- Ensure issues are resolved with clear RCA and long-term fixes
3. Design Authority & Standardization
- Define and govern APAC network standards (SD-WAN, SDA, routing, security, wireless)
- Review and approve network designs and changes
- Ensure consistent architecture and delivery quality across the region
4. Vendor & Service Provider Oversight
- Validate vendor designs, implementations, and incident handling
- Enforce engineering standards and prevent suboptimal solutions
- Support vendor performance management with technical inputs
5. Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Lead deep RCA for major and systemic issues
- Identify gaps in design, processes, and controls
- Drive improvements and share learnings across regions
6. Decision Ownership & Risk Management
- Own regional design and escalation decisions within defined guardrails
- Escalate exceptions to global architecture when needed
7. Infrastructure & Project Delivery
- Support and deliver network infrastructure projects end-to-end
