This role requires technical expertise in Snowflake, strong SQL and ELT development skills, and the ability to implement robust data structures and transformation patterns in a cloud environment. 

What you’ll be doing

• Owning the creation, optimization, and ongoing support of a scalable medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers) and the associated Executive Leadership Team pipelines that transform raw data into trusted analytical assets.
• Evaluating current data processes for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability, while proactively identifying opportunities for architectural improvements.

What you’ll bring

Core Technical Skills

• Snowflake Expertise (Required): Hands-on experience with Snowflake setup, user/role security, virtual warehouses, performance tuning, and storage optimization.
• Python (Preferred): Ability to design, build, and maintain bronze/silver/gold layer structures and patterns.
• SQL (Required): Advanced SQL skills for complex transformations, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• ELT Pipeline Development: Experience building and maintaining cloud-based ELT processes using tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or similar.
• Data Modeling: Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, normalization, and scalable warehouse design.
• Cloud Platforms (Preferred): Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially storage and compute components used with Snowflake.

Architecture & Platform Skills

• Expertise in designing scalable ingestion and transformation workflows.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve pipeline, performance, compute, or storage issues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows for data pipelines and version-controlled development.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

• Strong ability to troubleshoot complex data pipeline issues across ingestion, transformation, and storage layers.
• Experience optimizing workloads for performance and cost efficiency.
• Ability to translate data requirements into technical implementation plans.

Communication and Collaboration Skills

• Ability to partner effectively with data governance, analytics, BI, and product teams.
• Comfort explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Skilled at documenting technical architecture, data flows, and operational standards.

Behavioral Attributes

• Ownership mindset with a focus on platform reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
• Proactive in identifying infrastructure improvements and preventing data pipeline failures.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in fast-moving, evolving data environments.
