About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated L1 Network Operations Analyst to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in networking concepts, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. As an L1 Network Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving network issues to ensure the stability and reliability of our network infrastructure. Responsibilities: Monitor network performance and availability through Solarwinds network monitoring tool. Identify and escalate network incidents, abnormalities, and outages to senior team members for further investigation and resolution. Monitoring the NOC dashboard and creating incidents based on alerts and escalating the issue with senior team members and trying to fix it ASAP. Maintain accurate records of network incidents, solutions applied, and troubleshooting steps taken. Provide initial troubleshooting and diagnostics for network-related problems, including connectivity issues, latency, and performance degradation(ISP management). Follow documented procedures to respond to network alerts and incidents, including opening, tracking, and closing tickets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and timely incident resolution. Execute routine network tasks such as NCM backups. proactive checks, checkpoint Proactive checks. Participate in shift rotations, including weekends and holidays, to provide 24/7 coverage for the Network Operations Center. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, subnets and firewall concepts. Familiarity with networking equipment such as routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, and load balancers. Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools and protocols (SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, etc.). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues efficiently. Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear incident reporting and documentation. Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to on-call requirements. 1 to 3 years of experience working in Network operations. Industry certifications such as CCNA.
