Role Description
The Astronomy Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in astronomy and space sciences to students, primarily in schools. Key responsibilities include creating lesson plans, conducting astronomy workshops, utilizing telescopes and other tools, and facilitating interactive science learning experiences. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring day-to-day interaction with students and fostering a love of astronomy and science through innovative teaching methodologies.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Lesson Planning and Education to design and deliver structured curriculum materials that engage students
- Strong Communication and Teaching skills to effectively explain complex scientific concepts in an accessible manner
- Experience in Training and inspiring curiosity in students about astronomy and space science
- Passion for scientific exploration and a commitment to fostering analytical thinking in learners
- Proficiency in using telescopes and other astronomical tools is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field; a background in astronomy or space sciences is highly desirable
- Prior experience working with schools or in an educational environment is advantageous
