Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Motihari for an Astronomy Educator - Immediate Joiners. The educator will conduct engaging astronomy sessions, lead educational activities in schools, and manage portable planetariums or DIY kit demonstrations. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering interactive and impactful lessons, training participants, and fostering an enthusiasm for astronomy among students of various age groups. The role also involves collaborating with school staff to integrate practical science learning and maintaining educational materials and equipment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning to create structured and engaging educational experiences
- Experience in Education and Teaching with an ability to adapt to diverse learning needs
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with students, educators, and team members
- Skills in Training others to enhance understanding and participation in astronomy-related activities
- Passion for astronomy and science education, with a commitment to fostering curiosity and active learning
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in an educational or outreach setting is a plus
