Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Astronomy Educator based in Delhi, India. The Astronomy Educator will be responsible for designing and delivering astronomy-based lessons and workshops to various groups, including students, educators, and enthusiasts. Daily responsibilities include creating interactive lesson plans, conducting training sessions, and teaching concepts of astronomy and space sciences in engaging and innovative ways. The role also involves hosting practical sessions using telescopes and engaging audiences with demonstrations of astronomical phenomena.
Qualifications
- Experience in Lesson Planning and Education to develop and implement effective educational programs
- Strong Communication skills to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively
- Proficiency in Teaching and Training, especially in science, with the ability to engage diverse groups
- Passion for astronomy and space sciences
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physics, Astronomy, or a related field
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Knowledge of telescopes and other astronomical tools is a plus
- Familiarity with curriculum design is an added advantage
