Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Astronomer Educator, based in Dwarka. The Astronomer Educator will be responsible for planning and delivering astronomy lessons, conducting interactive stargazing sessions, and leading workshops tailored to diverse audiences, including students, families, and corporate groups. Additional responsibilities include designing immersive educational experiences, training team members on astronomy-related topics, and engaging participants with clear and effective communication. The role requires fostering enthusiasm for astronomy and creating an enriching, memorable experience for all visitors.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Lesson Planning and Education delivery to effectively design and implement engaging astronomy-related content.
- Strong Communication and Teaching skills to connect with diverse audiences and convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Experience in Training individuals or teams in astronomy-related topics or public engagement activities.
- Passion for astronomy and hands-on experience in conducting stargazing sessions or related activities.
- Ability to work on-site and manage logistics for educational programs and workshops.
- Bachelor’s degree in Astronomy, Physics, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with telescopes and other astronomical equipment is an advantage.
