Our Values : Take Charge Build Trust Thrive Together Pursue Excellence Focus on Quality Designation: Associate Engineer – II Customer Support Job Description: At Asteria Aerospace we are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Material and Inventory Management Specialist to join our Customer Support Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the inventory levels, material procurement, and ensuring efficient supply chain management to support our customer support operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, efficient utilization of materials, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet departmental goals. Your primary objective will be to ensure the availability of the required materials at the dedicated Maintenance Hubs, to carry out the day-to-day service & repair activities. Your role will contribute to maintaining high customer satisfaction and excellent service standards. Your expertise will be crucial in advancing our drone technology and enabling our customers to harness the full potential of our products. Key Responsibilities: Ø Inventory Management: · Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels at dedicated Maintenance Hubs to support service and repair activities. · Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. · Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize storage space. · Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. · Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system. · Forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment to meet customer needs. · Coordinate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements and ensure availability. Ø Material Procurement: · Collaborate with SCM and PPC teams to procure materials required for service and repair activities. · Evaluate the spare parts requirement from each maintenance hub to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. · Generate Material Requests / Transfers in ERP and track deliveries to the maintenance hub to ensure timely delivery of materials. · Manage inventory replenishment processes to maintain sufficient stock levels. · Work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely transportation of materials to Maintenance Hubs. · Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders i.e., SCM, PPC, and internal departments. · Implement supply chain optimization strategies to improve overall operational effectiveness. Ø Logistics Management: · Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and warehousing. · Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs. · Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods. · Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate contracts. · Monitor and report on logistics performance metrics, such as delivery times, transportation costs, and order accuracy. Ø Efficient Utilization of Materials: · Optimize material usage to minimize waste and reduce warranty costs. · Implement best practices for material handling and storage to prolong shelf life and maintain quality. · Provide guidance and training to team members on proper material utilization techniques. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Customer Support, Operations, and Procurement to meet departmental goals. · Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on inventory needs and priorities. · Facilitate regular meetings to discuss CS inventory status, upcoming service requirements, and potential issues. · Project the materials requirements based on consumption rate and failure rates along with proper rational for further procurement process. Ø Customer Satisfaction: · Ensure timely availability of materials to support service and repair activities, contributing to high customer satisfaction levels. · Address any material-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions to service delivery. · Monitor and analyse customer feedback related to material availability and take proactive measures to address concerns. Ø Continuous Process Improvement: · Continuously evaluate inventory management processes and identify opportunities for improvement. · Implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness. · Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in material and inventory management. · Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and logistics operations. · Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. · Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize supply chain processes. Note: These responsibilities are essential for ensuring smooth operations at Maintenance Hubs and delivering high-quality service to customers, thereby advancing drone technology, and driving customer success.
