Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor position in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, based at Sandip Institute of Technology and Research Centre in Nashik. The role involves delivering engaging lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in AI, Data Science, and related subjects; preparing course materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with university and institutional guidelines. The Assistant Professor will guide students in academic projects, mentor them on research and innovation, and support co-curricular activities such as seminars, workshops, and hackathons. Responsibilities also include participating in curriculum development, contributing to departmental and institutional committees, engaging in research and scholarly publications, and fostering collaborations with industry and academic partners. The role requires maintaining high academic standards, supporting student success, and contributing to the overall growth of the department and institute.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline (preferably M.Tech/ME or PhD).
- Proficiency in core AI and Data Science domains such as machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and related emerging technologies.
- Experience with programming languages and tools commonly used in AI and Data Science (for example, Python, R, relevant libraries and frameworks).
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective lectures, practical sessions, and assessments at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Evidence of research activity, such as published papers, conference presentations, or ongoing projects in AI, Data Science, or allied fields.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a diverse student body.
- Commitment to outcome-based education, continuous learning, and participation in departmental and institutional activities.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards, academic regulations, and quality assurance processes in engineering education is an advantage.
- Industry exposure, collaborative projects, or consultancy experience in AI/Data Science will be considered beneficial.
