Role Title: Project Manager – Junior Procurement Engineer / Executive (3–4 Years)
Role Overview
The Junior Procurement Engineer supports procurement operations for interior fit‑out projects by assisting in vendor sourcing, material procurement, documentation, and coordination with project teams. The role is execution‑focused and ensures timely availability of materials as per approved specifications and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Command timelines using Gantt charts, critical path analysis, and real-time health dashboards.
- Track KPIs, preempt delays, and manage change orders with schedule/budget impact reporting.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture efficiencies and process improvements.
Procurement Support
- Assist in procurement of materials and services for interior fit‑out projects.
- Study drawings, BOQs, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Prepare RFQs and collect vendor quotations.
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with approved vendors and subcontractors for quotations and follow‑ups.
- Support vendor onboarding and documentation.
- Track vendor performance and delivery timelines.
- Cost & Documentation
- Prepare comparative statements (CS) for price and technical evaluation.
- Assist seniors in negotiation documentation and order finalization.
- Maintain procurement trackers, PO logs, and MIS reports.
- Purchase Order Assistance
- Track order status, deliveries, and site requirements.
- Coordinate with stores/site teams for material receipt.
Quality & Site Coordination
- Ensure materials delivered match approved samples and specifications.
- Coordinate for MIRs, material approvals, and replacements if required.
- Liaise with site engineers to resolve material-related issues.
- Materials Exposure
- Civil & finishes (flooring, partitions, ceilings, painting)
- Carpentry & modular furniture
- Electrical & lighting items
- Basic HVAC and plumbing materials
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Construction
- 3–4 years’ experience in interior fit‑out procurement
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel & MS Word
- Basic understanding of drawings and BOQs
- Strong coordination and follow‑up skills
- Willingness to learn vendor negotiation and contracts.
