Responsibilities :
- Identify potential suppliers for existing and new components as per project or production requirements.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments, including capacity, quality systems, and certifications.
- Maintain supplier data, evaluation reports, and scorecards.
- Assist in supplier development activities such as trial production runs, PPAP approvals, and
- documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality and Engineering teams for technical validation and approval.
- Ensure all onboarding documentation, NDAs, and agreements are completed.
- Support in obtaining quotations and conducting cost comparisons.
- Prepare negotiation data sheets and assist in price finalization under supervision of the Manager.
- Track cost savings and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Production teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and escalate delays or quality concerns.
- Ensure adherence to procurement processes and documentation standards.
- Support supplier audits related to quality, environment, and safety compliance (e.g., ISO, RoHS, REACH).
- Maintain supplier audit reports and follow up on corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain sourcing dashboards, supplier performance reports, and sourcing metrics.
- Provide regular updates to management on sourcing activities and supplier status.
- Sheet Metal Processing, Gear Hobbing, Hardening, Costing_pressure die casting, Dies &Tools, Plastic Moulding, CNC Machining, Sintered products Strong analytical and negotiation support skills.
- Knowledge of procurement systems, ERP (SAP/Tally preferred).
- Understanding of supplier development and technical evaluation processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Qualifications :
B.E. - Mechanical/Electrical, prior experience in manufacturing companies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Skills Required :
Team Handling, Import/Export knowledge, price negotiation, Vendor development, Price sensitivity & costing, Forex Knowledge.
