We are looking for an experienced IR professional to manage industrial relations in a shipyard environment. The role involves handling labor relations, statutory compliance, workforce discipline, and ensuring smooth shop-floor operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure harmonious employee and labor relations across the shipyard
- Handle wage discussions, settlements, and workforce-related matters
- Manage grievances, disciplinary actions, and domestic inquiries
- Ensure compliance with labour laws (ID Act, Factories Act, CLRA, Trade Unions Act)
- Liaise with labour authorities and manage inspections/audits
- Oversee contract labour management and statutory compliance
- Drive conflict resolution and prevent industrial disputes
- Maintain IR documentation, legal cases, and MIS reporting
Candidate Profile
- MBA/MSW in HR/IR (LLB preferred)
- 1015 years of experience in Industrial Relations
- Experience in shipyard / heavy engineering / manufacturing setup
- Strong exposure to labor management and shop-floor environment
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws
