Role Overview The Assistant Manager, HR, is a multi-faceted role responsible for the end-to-end employee lifecycle. You will drive organizational efficiency through strategic manpower planning, performance management, and comprehensive learning and development initiatives, while ensuring seamless industrial relations, statutory compliance, and administrative excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR & Talent Management
- Manpower Planning: Lead workforce forecasting, budgeting, and talent acquisition strategies across all Strategic Business Units (SBUs).
- Training & Development: Identify skill gaps, develop the Annual Training Calendar, and implement learning programs (coaching, workshops, online) to enhance productivity and multi-skilling.
- Performance Management: Manage the performance appraisal cycle, linking outcomes to career development and organizational growth.
Compensation, Benefits & Welfare
- C&B Operations: Design salary structures, manage incentive schemes, and calculate benefits (LTA, Bonus, Gratuity).
- Employee Welfare: Oversee welfare schemes (medical assistance, loans) and maintain workplace facilities (canteen, transport, guest house).
Compliance & Industrial Relations
- Statutory Compliance: Manage PF, ESIC, LWF, and PT remittances; ensure adherence to Labor Laws and Factory Acts; handle regulatory inspections.
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for grievances, conduct counseling, and foster harmonious Industrial Relations through proactive engagement.
Administration & Engagement
- Facility Management: Supervise site administration, including security, housekeeping, vendor management, and AMC renewals.
- Employee Engagement: Drive retention through recognition programs, town halls, engagement surveys, and exit interview analysis to improve organizational culture.
- Reporting: Generate MIS and management reports to support leadership decision-making.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in a generalist HR role with exposure to factory-level or industrial operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Indian Labor Laws, statutory compliance (PF/ESIC), and payroll processing.
- Soft Skills: Excellent conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
