Role Description The Assistant Manager Housekeeping at Essentia Hotels & Resorts is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role oversees daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet brand standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation. The Assistant Manager schedules and supervises housekeeping staff, conducts inspections, and coordinates with front office and maintenance to address service requests promptly. The role includes training team members on housekeeping procedures, hygiene, and use of equipment, as well as monitoring inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and amenities. The Assistant Manager Housekeeping also supports guest satisfaction by responding to housekeeping-related concerns, implementing service improvements, and maintaining efficient, well-organized workflows.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills to manage housekeeping teams, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with staff and other departments and interact professionally with guests.
- Candidates should possess Training capabilities to coach team members on cleaning standards, safety procedures, and service quality.
- Candidates should possess a focus on Customer Satisfaction to handle guest requests, resolve issues, and maintain high service standards.
- Candidates may possess basic Cooking or food-handling awareness, beneficial for coordinating in-room dining or minibar-related housekeeping tasks.
- Candidates should have prior experience in housekeeping or hotel operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Candidates ideally hold a diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
