Position Title: Asst. General Manager – Sales and Marketing

Position Summary:
The General Manager – Sales and Marketing at 4K Sports Infra Pvt Ltd is a senior leadership role responsible for spearheading the company’s business development, sales, and marketing functions across all regions assigned by management. The role demands strategic vision, operational execution, and people leadership to drive growth in the sports infrastructure sector. The GM will oversee B2B and B2C client acquisition, key account management, revenue generation, team leadership, and brand building while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, adherence to processes, and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Revenue Growth:
- Define and implement long-term sales and marketing strategies to expand market reach and achieve business targets.
- Identify new growth opportunities across government, private, and institutional sectors.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to set annual sales forecasts, budgets, and profitability targets.
- Develop region-wise expansion plans for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 cities.
Sales Operations & Client Acquisition:
- Manage and monitor B2B and B2C sales operations including pre-sales, quotations, inbound and outbound sales, CRM and client servicing.
- Drive sales by targeting schools, colleges, sports academies, contractors, real estate developers, and government bodies.
- Oversee the full sales cycle, including tendering, proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract finalization.
- Ensure consistent pipeline development through proactive outbound activities and strong lead management.
- Monitor team KPIs such as lead conversion rates, closures, CRM updates, and follow-up cycles.
Lead Management & CRM Usage
- Ensure smooth functioning of CRM as the central sales tool.
- Guarantee that all lead types (inbound, outbound, referrals) are enrolled, tracked, and updated in CRM.
- Supervise lead lifecycle in CRM – inquiry → follow-up → site visit → proposal → closure.
- Ensure all CRM activities (calls, meetings, emails, site visits, updates) are logged accurately by the team.
- Generate weekly CRM reports to track pipeline, conversion, and pending actions.
- Enforce 100% CRM compliance across the B2C and B2B sales team
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales and marketing team across multiple regions.
- Set clear performance benchmarks, conduct regular reviews, and ensure accountability at all levels.
- Provide coaching, onboarding, and training programs for new and existing team members to enhance sales capabilities.
Marketing & Brand Strategy:
- Guide digital and offline marketing strategies to support lead generation and brand positioning.
- Work with the digital marketing team on campaign design, content development, and ROI tracking.
- Approve and oversee marketing collateral such as social media content, brochures, and presentations.
- Represent the company at industry expos, events, networking meets, and government forums.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution:
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing, Finance & Accounts, HR, Engineering, and Procurement teams for seamless cross-departmental execution.
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to project execution teams with proper documentation and client briefings.
- Work with legal and commercial teams for contract management, MoUs, and tender participation.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine service offerings and identify new opportunities.
- Maintain reports and trackers on sales performance, forecasts, and operational progress.
- Present performance dashboards, strategy updates, and actionable insights to senior management.
- Ensure all sales processes are streamlined, compliant, and continuously improved.
