Your area of work:
StatistiX® is the Data Platform of Trading & Clearing Segment of Deutsche Börse Group. StatistiX® provides external and internal users worldwide with statistical information on financial markets, offers Data Services and acts as Analytics platform of Deutsche Börse Group. Your responsibilities:
- Act as the primary Information Security contact for assigned applications, platforms, and services across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Design, implement, and operate security controls for application landscapes and hybrid infrastructure (GCP and on premises).
- Identify security threats and vulnerabilities; drive risk mitigation through structured risk assessments (e.g. RAP / ISRM).
- Support vulnerability management, security monitoring, SIEM, and security analytics in collaboration with platform and central security teams.
- Review system architectures, cloud designs, and change requests from a security and risk perspective.
- Enable secure cloud onboarding and operations, including security governance and FinOps-related controls (access, tagging, cost risk prevention).
- Apply scripting or automation (e.g. Python, shell) to support security checks, reporting, and evidence gathering.
- Support audits and regulatory reviews by delivering clear, timely, and audit-ready security documentation.
Your profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a comparable technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or IT risk roles.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, controls, and risk management aligned to industry standards (e.g. ISO 27001).
- Hands-on exposure to cloud security, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Working knowledge of scripting or programming (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Experience with vulnerability management, SIEM, logging, and security analytics concepts.
- Solid understanding of application architectures, operating systems, networking, and cloud services.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with global, cross-functional teams (English required; German an advantage).
