- Government Incentives & Subsidy Management
- Identify, evaluate, and secure central & state government incentives (PLI schemes, SGST reimbursement, capital subsidies, etc.)
- Lead end-to-end application, documentation, and follow-ups with authorities
- Track realization, compliance, and audit readiness of all incentive claims
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (projects, legal, operations) for eligibility alignment
- Manage Advance Authorization (Advance License) schemes under DGFT
- Ensure compliance with import/export obligations and maintain detailed records
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and forex teams for license utilization
- Track and manage bond closure, redemption, and audit documentation
- Act as SPOC for DGFT-related correspondence and inspections
- Oversee GST, Customs, Income Tax, and related compliances
- Ensure correct tax structuring for import of capital goods & raw materials
- Drive tax efficiency through planning, optimization, and litigation management
- Handle tax audits, assessments, notices, and regulatory scrutiny
- Collaborate with consultants and legal teams for complex tax matters
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and internal policies
- Strengthen audit controls across incentives, licenses, and tax processes
- Manage internal & external audits (statutory, tax, incentive-based audits)
- Implement SOPs for financial governance and risk mitigation
- Build strong relationships with government bodies (DGFT, Customs, GST departments)
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and regulatory advisors
- Partner with internal teams (procurement, supply chain, legal, projects) for compliance
- Lead a team managing taxation and incentive processes
- Drive automation and digitization in compliance tracking
- Develop dashboards for incentive realization, license utilization, and tax exposure
Qualifications
- CA / CMA (mandatory)
- 15–20 years of experience in manufacturing / infrastructure domain
- Strong experience in:
- Government incentives (PLI / state subsidies)
- Advance Authorization / DGFT processes
- GST, Customs & Direct Taxation
- Experience in large-scale manufacturing setups (preferably solar / EPC / heavy industry)
