Role Description
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering hub in Redmond. You will work alongside senior architects and product managers to build the backbone of modern digital applications. This role is designed for a high-potential individual who is eager to master back-end architectures, cloud scalability, and clean code practices in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Design, develop, and deploy robust back-end services and APIs using modern frameworks.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices and internal coding standards.
- Testing & Optimization: Perform rigorous unit testing and debugging to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure seamless project delivery.
- System Architecture: Assist in the design of scalable database schemas and cloud-native system architectures.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies (AI/ML, Serverless, DevOps) and suggest ways to incorporate them into Gensten’s tech stack.
- QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Core: Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and Computer Science fundamentals.
- Programming: Proficiency in at least one major back-end language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, or Go) with a focus on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Web Development: Understanding of RESTful APIs, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and version control (Git).
Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly within a team.
Preferred: Prior internship experience or projects involving AWS/Azure/GCP or AI-driven integrations.
