This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering foundation and hands-on VC experience, who has independently managed the investment lifecycle—from sourcing to evaluation, diligence, IC management, deal closure, and post-investment support.

Key Responsibilities1. Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Management- Proactively identify high-potential deeptech startups within the PropTech sector (AI/ML, robotics, semiconductors, biotech, climate-tech, quantum, advanced materials, etc.).
- Build and maintain strong founder networks, incubator relationships, and ecosystem touchpoints.
- Own and update the deal pipeline; run weekly funnel reviews with the senior team.
2. Investment Evaluation & Due Diligence- Lead first-level technical and commercial diligence using your engineering background.
- Build detailed financial models, market maps, and competitive landscape analyses.
- Coordinate technical experts and external diligence partners where required.
- Prepare deal notes, IC memos, and thesis documents with clarity and rigor.
3. Investment Committee (IC) Ownership- Prepare, structure, and present IC documents—including teasers, detailed investment memos, risk assessments, and valuation summaries.
- Manage IC logistics, communication, and follow-through on feedback.
- Drive internal alignment with partners to move deals from discussion to approval.
4. Transaction Execution- Coordinate term sheet negotiations, documentation workflows, and closure processes.
- Work closely with legal counsel to review investment agreements, SHA/SSA, cap tables, ESOP documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of deal paperwork and internal documentation.
5. Portfolio Support & Market Research- Support portfolio companies on strategic priorities, fundraising, and business insights.
- Conduct thematic research and create investment theses across deeptech domains.
- Represent the fund at events, conferences, and ecosystem forums.
Required Qualifications & SkillsMust-Have- Minimum 12 months of full-time VC investment experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end investment cycles—sourcing → diligence → IC → deal closure.
- Strong memo-writing and documentation abilities (IC memos, term sheet process understanding, investment notes).
- Comfort with technical deep-dives, product evaluations, and founder interviews.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- High ownership, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple parallel deal workflows.
Preferred- Prior experience evaluating deeptech or frontier technology companies.
- Exposure to operational work within VC funds.
- Strong ecosystem networks across the Indian startup ecosystem.
- Ability to independently form investment convictions and defend them with data.
What We Offer- Opportunity to work with a new deeptech focused VC fund shaping the future of frontier innovation.
- Exposure to groundbreaking technologies and world-class founders.
- High ownership role with rapid learning and career growth.
