Key Responsibilities:
- Support the launch of valuation engagements by organizing and reviewing client documents.
- Inventory, review, and maintain financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and other supporting documentation.
- Extract and spread historical financial information into Excel-based valuation templates and models.
- Perform financial statement analysis to identify trends, key financial metrics, and areas requiring further investigation.
- Assist in preparing normalization adjustments under the guidance of senior team members.
- Conduct industry research, identify guideline public companies, and analyse precedent transactions.
- Support the development and refinement of valuation models while gaining exposure to end-to-end valuation methodologies.
- Assist in drafting valuation reports by preparing financial analysis, industry research, and supporting narratives.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
- Work on multiple valuation assignments simultaneously while meeting project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with managers and team members, including collaborating across different time zones.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge of valuation methodologies, financial modelling, and business analysis with the goal of independently handling valuation assignments over time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CA, CFA (Level I/II), MBA (Finance), or candidates pursuing these qualifications are preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in Business Valuation, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Audit, or Corporate Finance.
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
