Job Title: Associate Project Manager – EPC (Grid Automation)

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Support Project Managers in the execution of EPC projects covering engineering, procurement, factory acceptance, installation, testing, commissioning, and contractual close‑out activities.
- Manage selected project work packages independently (documentation, SAP updates, action tracking, invoicing milestones, closeout tasks, checklist preparation, risk/opportunity tracking).
- Coordinate cross‑functional interactions between engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality, and site teams to ensure timely deliverables and data readiness for EPC lifecycle stages.
- Maintain and update SAP/GPP project parameters including project structuring, planned costs, project cashflow elements, warranty blocks, and adherence to internal governance requirements.
- Track project KPIs (OTD, invoice milestones, variations/claims, risk mitigation actions) and follow up with stakeholders to close gaps proactively.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation - status reports, technical submittal trackers, meeting minutes, action logs, and dashboards.
- Support customer communications by preparing progress summaries, query clarifications.
- Coordinate project handover to service teams including snag-list closure, PAC/ FAC follow-up, warranty triggers, and contract deliverables.

Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation engineering or related technical discipline relevant to grid automation or EPC execution.
- 3–5 years of proven experience supporting or managing packages within EPC/Turnkey or Grid Automation projects (FACTS, Substation Automation, Protection & Control, RTU/SCADA, Network Control).
- Exposure to EPC workflows including engineering deliverable cycles, procurement processes, contractor interfaces, and installation/testing sequences.
- Familiarity with interpreting project documents such as SLDs, GA drawings, bill of quantities, contract clauses, compliance matrices, ITP/QAPs, and engineering schedules.
- Experience coordinating with cross‑functional teams across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and site execution.
- Experience supporting PMs in dashboards, KPI monitoring, project financial updates, cash flow inputs, and risk logs.
- Understanding of project change management including variations, claims, delays, risk & opportunity logs, and impact assessments (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, Primavera/MS Project, MS Excel, Power BI, and project reporting tools used in EPC & grid automation projects.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications and understand the technical dependencies within grid automation systems (RTUs, protection schemes, communication networks, control systems, relays, automation cabinets).
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and site personnel.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset to interpret KPIs, project progress, deviations, and early-warning indicators.
- Proactive attitude with ability to independently drive task closures and follow up without supervision.
- Ability to adapt quickly to EPC project priorities, including urgent customer requests, engineering revisions, and supplier dependencies.
- Certification (CAPM, PMP or equivalent) is an added advantage.
