Company Description Shri Dhanwantry Education Society operates Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic Hospital and Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College, offering integrated healthcare and academic programs rooted in traditional Ayurveda. Role Description – Associate Professor (Department of Dravyaguna)
The Associate Professor (Department of Dravyaguna) is a full-time, on-site academic position based in Chandigarh. The incumbent will be responsible for teaching undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students in accordance with the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) curriculum and institutional academic standards.
The key responsibilities include:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Dravyaguna Vigyana and related subjects through lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical demonstrations.
- Developing and updating course curricula, lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment methods.
- Mentoring and academically guiding students while fostering an engaging learning environment.
- Supervising clinical training, internships, and other academic activities in coordination with the attached teaching hospital.
- Guiding postgraduate dissertations, research projects, and promoting high-quality research in Ayurvedic medicine, medicinal plants, pharmacology, and allied disciplines.
- Publishing research papers, participating in funded research projects, and contributing to academic innovation.
- Conducting internal assessments, examinations, and evaluating student performance in accordance with NCISM and university regulations.
- Participating in departmental meetings, academic committees, faculty development programmes, accreditation, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Supporting institutional development activities, including curriculum enhancement, academic administration, and outreach programmes.
- Collaborating with hospital clinicians and other departments to integrate classroom teaching with clinical practice and evidence-based patient care.
- Performing any other academic, administrative, or institutional duties assigned by the Principal or competent authority from time to time
