Role Description The Associate Professor of Computer Science will be a full-time, on-site faculty member based in Jaipur, contributing to CTPL’s mission of transforming higher education through technology-driven teaching and learning. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science, designing and updating curricula to align with industry and market needs, and mentoring students in academic projects and research. The role involves conducting research in relevant domains, collaborating with internal teams to integrate EdTech solutions into teaching practices, and contributing to program development that supports digital transformation initiatives. The Associate Professor will also participate in academic governance, assessment, and quality assurance activities, and represent the institution in conferences, workshops, and professional networks.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and software engineering.
- Expertise in Programming (such as Python, Java, C++, or similar languages) with experience in teaching coding and supervising practical projects.
- Knowledge and applied experience in Data Science, including data analysis, machine learning, and related tools or frameworks.
- Specialization or demonstrated competence in Cybersecurity, covering security principles, network security, and secure software practices.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, designing course content, learning outcomes, assessments, and technology-enhanced learning materials.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science or a closely related discipline; exceptional candidates with a strong academic and industry profile may be considered with a master’s degree.
- Proven teaching experience at the university level with a record of effective classroom instruction and student engagement.
- Evidence of scholarly activity, such as publications, funded projects, or innovative teaching initiatives in computer science or related fields.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, adapt to EdTech platforms, and contribute to institutional digital transformation goals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with commitment to inclusive, learner-centered pedagogy.
