About the Role
We are seeking accomplished academicians and industry professionals for the role of Professor / Associate Professor – Modern Computer Architecture & VLSI Systems. This role is ideal for candidates with deep expertise in VLSI design, digital systems, processor architecture, and hardware engineering who are passionate about teaching, mentoring, research, and curriculum leadership.
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality instruction, guiding student innovation, leading academic initiatives, and strengthening interdisciplinary learning in Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, and VLSI Design.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Leadership
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in:
- Computer Architecture
- Digital Systems Design
- Microprocessors & Microcontrollers
- Embedded Systems
- VLSI & Hardware Systems
- Teach architectural concepts through real-world VLSI and processor design applications.
- Lead classroom instruction, laboratory sessions, design-based learning, and capstone projects.
Curriculum Development & Innovation
- Design and continuously enhance curriculum, labs, assignments, and assessments aligned with industry and research advancements.
- Develop hands-on RTL, FPGA, ASIC, and processor architecture projects for experiential learning.
- Introduce modern topics such as: RISC-V Architectures, SoC Design, Low-Power Systems, Hardware Acceleration, Verification Methodologies
Research & Scholarly Contribution
- Contribute to research publications, conferences, patents, and funded projects.
- Encourage interdisciplinary and applied research initiatives.
- Guide student research, innovation challenges, and technical competitions.
Mentorship & Student Development
- Mentor students in academics, research, placements, and higher studies.
- Support students in hardware design projects, internships, and technical career pathways.
- Foster a strong culture of innovation, experimentation, and engineering rigor.
Academic Administration & Collaboration
- Collaborate with faculty, industry experts, and curriculum teams to improve learning outcomes.
- Participate in accreditation, departmental planning, and institutional initiatives.
- Conduct workshops, technical bootcamps, guest lectures, and industry interaction sessions.
Required Qualifications
Educational Qualifications
- Ph.D. in VLSI Design / Computer Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or related discipline is Mandatory
- Strong academic background with demonstrated teaching and/or research excellence
- Eligibility as per UGC/AICTE norms preferred
Experience
- 5+ years of combined experience in Academia and/or Industry
- Prior experience as: Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor/ Research Faculty/ Technical Trainer are preferred
- Experience mentoring students, handling laboratories, and leading academic initiatives is highly desirable.

Tools & Technologies:
Proficiency with tools such as:
- Cadence
- Synopsys
- ModelSim
- Xilinx
- Mentor Graphics
- Vivado or equivalent EDA platforms
Programming & HDL Skills
- Verilog / VHDL
- Tcl / Shell Scripting
- Python or equivalent scripting languages
Preferred Skills
- Research publications in reputed journals/conferences
- Familiarity with: RISC-V, ARM Architectures, SoC Integration, DFT & Verification Methodologies
- Experience with academic program design or accreditation processes
- Exposure to LMS platforms and modern teaching methodologies
- Contributions to open-source hardware or technical communities
