Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Kolkata Area for an Associate Professor in the Computer Science department. The Associate Professor will be responsible for conducting research, preparing and delivering high-quality lectures, developing and updating course curricula, mentoring students, and contributing to departmental goals. The role involves active participation in academic conferences, publishing in reputed journals, and collaborating with industry partners to ensure course relevance. Additionally, faculty members are expected to provide mentorship for student projects and guide research efforts in cutting-edge areas of computer science.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of core Computer Science concepts and a solid background in Data Science and Cybersecurity
- Proficiency in Programming and proven experience in developing modern software systems
- Experience in Curriculum Development and course design for undergraduate and postgraduate programs
- Demonstrated research ability with publications in reputed journals and conferences
- A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science or a closely related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students and colleagues
- Experience working in an academic or research environment; familiarity with accreditation processes for academic programs is a plus
- Experience in fostering industry collaborations and guiding impactful research projects to address real-world challenges
