Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at B. M. S. College of Engineering in Bengaluru. The Associate / Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, conducting research, supervising students, developing course materials, and contributing to curriculum development. The role also entails mentoring students, contributing to academic publications, engaging in collaborative research projects, and participating in departmental and institutional activities. Additionally, the Associate Professor will be expected to uphold the collegial environment and support the academic mission of the institution.
Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge and expertise in relevant fields of technical education
- Proven experience in academic research, publishing, and conducting studies
- Effective teaching skills, including course development and student mentoring
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to organizational goals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in utilizing virtual teaching tools, digital platforms, and software for education and academic work
- Ph.D. in a relevant field from a recognized institution is required (For Associate Professor)
- Experience in academic leadership and contributions to accreditations, policy development, or community engagement efforts is preferred
- Commitment to lifelong learning and adherence to the values and vision of quality technical education
