Our Fort, Mumbai office regularly represents clients before various courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial authorities. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Associate with 2 years of post-qualification experience to join our litigation team.
Position Overview:
The Civil Litigation Associate will assist in handling a wide range of civil and commercial disputes. The role requires strong drafting abilities, solid legal research skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting pleadings, applications, affidavits, written submissions, and legal notices.
- Conducting detailed legal research on case law, statutes, and procedural aspects.
- Assisting senior associates and partners in ongoing civil and commercial litigation matters.
- Preparing case briefs, chronologies, and supporting documentation for court proceedings.
- Coordinating with counsel and attending court proceedings when required.
- Managing case files, maintaining records, and ensuring procedural compliance.
Eligibility Criteria:
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
- Approximately 3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in civil litigation.
- Candidate must be based in Mumbai.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent legal drafting skills.
- Strong legal research capability.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Exposure to civil and commercial litigation matters.
- Familiarity with court procedures in Mumbai courts and tribunals.
