Overview
- Transportation Scheduling process owner
- Plan, organize, and optimize the scheduling of shipments to ensure timely delivery and efficient use of resources (fleets and warehouses). This involves analyzing data, using TCT transportation planning models, coordinating with various stakeholders
- Assign appropriate Carrier to each Shipment based on PepsiCo´s policies, contracts, and agreements with Carriers, the current "Route Guide" and capacity availability information captured by TCT visibility processes
- Adjust schedules as needed to ensure a practical and feasible shipment schedule
- Monitors A/R (carriers’ acceptance and reject to solve them with time pressure)
- Being the Focal Point to create and update the Shipments "Trip Build"
Responsibilities
- Comply to scheduling processes and procedures
- Ensure proper transportation planning technology adoption and utilization
- Meet service and productivity objectives
- Plan, optimize and schedule the most efficient routes for shipments, considering factors such as cost, transit time, fleet productivity and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Work closely with warehouses, carriers, and customers to ensure alignment on shipment schedules, considering Pick-up and/or Delivery requirements
- Choose the appropriate carriers that minimize freight spending and maximize operational efficiency
- Publish the final shipment "Trip Build" according to the agreed cut-off time schedule (when applicable)
- Collaborate with peers (transport planners) to balance daily workloads and support the business
- Collaborate with Transport execution team to solve issues / lack of transport capacity constraints
- Support to control & performance & execution teams to identify root causes for carriers’ performance deviation
Qualifications
- Engineering university degree from a Tier 1 institute
- Overall experience of close to 2-5 years in an industry working in transport planning process
- Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of SAP, TMS or logistics software
- Fluent in English.
