The Problem We’re Solving
In a fast-growing startup, leadership time is an extremely scarce resource. Every hour spent chasing payments, reconciling expenses, or generating invoices is time taken away from building the product, engaging customers, and driving strategy.
Managing collections from Indian enterprise clients requires consistent and structured follow-ups the difference between healthy cash flow and a collections bottleneck often lies in execution discipline.
At the same time, expense reconciliation across credit cards, UPI, and reimbursements creates a recurring monthly bottleneck, delaying book closure and consuming valuable bandwidth across the founding team and HR.
This role exists to give the founding team their time back, while building the financial operations foundation required to scale into a ₹100 Cr ARR company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR) including invoicing, collections, and tracking against credit terms
- Drive collections through structured follow-ups and maintain a real-time AR tracker; escalate overdue accounts to leadership
- Coordinate with client stakeholders on POs, payments, TDS, GST, and billing queries
- Oversee expense management and reconciliations across credit cards, UPI, and reimbursements; ensure accurate and timely monthly closure
- Prepare clean, audit-ready financial data and collaborate with external accounting teams
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure accuracy of books
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP
- Establish and strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and compliance frameworks
- Manage statutory, tax, and internal audits, ensuring timely closure of observations
- Oversee GST, TDS, and regulatory compliances
- Build and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and financial insights for leadership
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making
- Support investor reporting, due diligence, and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Manage vendor payments, subscriptions, and working capital tracking
- Maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, and financial documents
- Handle operational and administrative responsibilities including travel, payroll coordination, and office management
- Continuously improve finance processes, systems, and automation to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- CA Qualified
- 1 years of experience in finance, controllership, or audit
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and compliance
- Experience in startups / SaaS / tech companies is a plus
