Responsibilities
) EXIM Operations Management
- Lead terminal operations across Gate–Yard–Warehouse–Rail/Road Dispatch–Delivery with daily execution rhythm (D-1 planning, shift briefings, end-of-shift reviews).
- Ensure vessel/flight/rail cut-off adherence, dwell time reduction, yard planning, and resource allocation (MHE, RTGs, reach stackers, forklifts, manpower).
- Oversee documentation: BoE/Shipping Bill, IGM/EGM, carting, stuffing/de-stuffing, seal integrity, cargo tally, weighbridge, and dispatch scheduling.
- Manage berth/slot confirmations (where applicable), rail rake scheduling, and transporter turnarounds.
- Drive VESDA/reefer/ODC/DG/PHARM workflows as per SOP and regulatory norms.
- Customer Service & Stakeholder Management
- Run a single-window customer service for exporters/importers, freight forwarders, CHAs, shipping lines, airlines, and custodians.
- Ensure proactive shipment visibility & updates (gate-in/out, stuffing status, EDI status, delays).
- Handle escalations, conduct VOC/NPS feedback, and drive corrective actions.
- Liaise with Customs, ICEGATE/PCS, Port Authorities, CONCOR/railways, airports, terminal operators, surveyors, and statutory bodies.
- Compliance, EHS & Risk
- Ensure 100% compliance with Customs Act, CBIC circulars, DGFT, FSSAI/Plant & Animal Quarantine, WMD for precious cargo, Drugs & Cosmetics, Explosives (DG cargo), AEO, and local regulations.
- Implement EHS standards: toolbox talks, incident reporting, PTW, PPE, safe equipment operations, emergency drills, and audits.
- Maintain secure terminal operations (CCTV, access control, seal checks, pilferage prevention) and manage insurance and claims support.
- Financials & Cost Optimization
- Own terminal P&L levers: productivity, fuel, MHE/equipment utilization, overtime, maintenance, vendor SLAs.
- Monitor and improve yield, cost per move/TEU, and revenue leakage controls (billing accuracy, tariff adherence, credit discipline).
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analyses.
- Digital, Systems & Process Excellence
- Ensure end-to-end usage of TOS/WMS, ICEGATE/PCS 1x, eSanchit, RFID/ANPR, reconciliation tools, and slot booking systems.
- Implement SOPs, KPIs dashboards, and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) to reduce TAT, dwell, re-handles, and claims.
- Champion data quality (EDI messages, IGM/EGM accuracy, manifest corrections, COD, DO releases).
- People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and upskill shift managers, yard/gate supervisors, CS/documentation teams.
- Drive shift discipline, manpower planning, rosters, and multi-skilling.
- Build a performance culture: clear goals, feedback, recognition, and succession pipeline
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate (preferred: Logistics/Operations/Supply Chain/Mechanical/Industrial).
- MBA/PG in Ops/SCM preferred.
Experience
- 8–14 years in terminal/ICD/CFS/port/air-cargo operations or linehaul hubs; 3–5 years in team leadership.
- Proven EXIM operations + customer service interface experience; strong Customs/CHA/ecosystem exposu
